This simple Air fryer Chicken Sausage is super quick and easy to make. These sausages are cooked to perfection in just 10 minutes, faster and cleaner than cooking on the stove top.
Place as many air fryer sausages in the basket as you want.
Cook the chicken sausage on 375ºF (190ºC) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature should be 165ºF(74°C) when done.
You can add sliced onion and bell pepper to the air fryer basket underneath the sausage if desired. You will want to spray the basket with cooking oil to keep the onions and peppers from sticking to the basket.
Air fryer models vary and some cook hotter than others. Keep an eye on the sausage the first time you make this recipe, in case yours cooks faster. Adjust the time as needed.
Notes
Remember that all air fryers cook at a different rate, due to differing wattages. It's always best to keep an eye on the sausages as they cook, and use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
While air fryers require less oil than traditional frying methods, lightly spraying or brushing the sausages with oil can help enhance browning and flavor.
After air frying, allow the sausages to rest for a few minutes before serving to help redistribute the juices and ensure optimal flavor and texture.
All air fryers have different wattage and may cook at different rates. You may need to adjust the time or temp for the best results.
