These easy air fryer Pasta Chips are made with bowtie pasta, a bit of olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and seasonings. They're a fun alternative to chips that can be served as a snack or appetizer.
Boil a pot of salted water in a pot on the stovetop. Cook farfalle until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain the pasta and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
Transfer pasta to a bowl and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. Stir to coat the pieces evenly.
Spread the pasta out in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes on 400°F (200°C). Flip over and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until crispy and golden. Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Cooked the pasta a little more than al dente, about 8 minutes.
Drain the pasta well and let it sit for 5 minutes to cool and dry.
Remove the chips as soon as they start to get golden in color.
You can use any flavoring that you can think up.
Try and spread the pasta out in the air fryer basket but if they overlap that is ok. Make sure to stir or shake the basket in the middle of cooking.
All air fryers have different wattage and may cook at different rates. You may need to adjust the time or temp for the best results.
