In a bowl, whisk the egg. In another bowl (or ziplock bag) combine the breadcrumbs and seasoned salt.
Dip the chicken tenders, one at a time, in egg, then roll or toss it in the breadcrumbs.
When done breading all the chicken, allow them to sit on a rack for a few minutes.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Place each piece of chicken in the air fryer basket and spray each with more cooking spray. Cook at 360° F (182°C) for 10 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the pieces at the halfway mark.
Test the chicken for the correct internal temperature 165° F(74°C). If it hasn't reached the correct temperature cook it for 2 more minutes and test again.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with the dipping sauce of your choice.
Notes
Always check the internal temperature of the chicken before taking it out of the air fryer. It should be 165° F (74°C).
Use silicon-tipped tongs to easily flip over the chicken without ruining the non-stick surface of your air fryer.
You can also use a plastic Ziplock bag. It is a convenient way to coat the chicken without getting your hands dirty.
You can repeat the dredging steps twice for more crunch.
Spray the air fryer basket to keep the chicken tenders from sticking and the top of the chicken to help them get golden brown and crispy.
All air fryers have different wattage and may cook at different rates. You may need to adjust the time or temp for the best results.
