Instructions
Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt in large mixing bowl. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles gravel.
Add the milk and stir to form a dough. Try not to overwork the dough.
With a spoon, scoop out 10 biscuits.
Place the biscuits, spaced apart, in the basket. You may need to cook them in 2 batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook on 400° F(205°C) for 8 minutes, then open the basket and brush on the melted butter. Continue cooking until lightly golden brown on top, about 1-2 more minutes.
Notes
Be careful not to knead the dough for too long. This will make your biscuits dry and tough.
Both the butter and milk should be very cold before mixing it into the dough.
Freeze the butter and then use a cheese grater to grate the butter into small pieces. It will save you a ton of time.
Unlike bread, biscuit dough does not need to be rested. You want to keep all the butter in the dough nice and cold. If you do not use the dough immediately, then the butter will soften.
Follow the measurements closely. Using too much of one ingredient could leave you with a biscuit that’s dry and tough.
Brush some melted butter on top of the biscuits after baking to add an extra layer of flavor.
All air fryers have different wattage and may cook at different rates. You may need to adjust the time or temp for the best results.
