Salmon bites on a plate with chopsticks

Air Fryer Salmon Bites

Air Fryer Salmon Bites are probably my favorite thing to make in the air fryer. These delicious morsels cook so well in the air fryer, with perfect crispy edges, while staying juicy in the middle. Dress them up with any sauce you like for additional flavor.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) raw salmon skin removed, cut into 1” cubes
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the optional teriyaki marinade:

  • 1/2 cup (118 ml) teriyaki marinade
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) fresh ginger minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced

For the optional garnish:

  • 1 teaspoon (2 g) toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the ginger, garlic and teriyaki marinade.
  • Place the salmon pieces in a bowl. Pour on optional marinade or dry seasoning and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the air fryer on 400°F for 6 minutes. When hot, place each piece of salmon into the basket, spaced so they aren’t touching. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 6 minutes, turning carefully at the halfway point.
  • Transfer salmon to a serving plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with toothpicks.

All air fryers have different wattage and may cook at different rates. You may need to adjust the time or temp for the best results.
