These Air Fryer Chicken Quarters have a flavorful dry rub that helps lock in the flavor while ensuring a crispy skin. Using the air fryer is one of the best ways to cook chicken quarters. Give it a try and you'll see.
Season the chicken with the dry rub. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
Position the chicken quarters inside the air fryer basket with enough space for air to circulate around each piece. If you are cooking 4 quarters, depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to cook them in two separate batches.
Cook on 400˚F (204˚C) for 20 minutes. Flip the chicken and continue cooking for 10-12 more minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
Allow the chicken to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Don't crowd the basket. Allow room for air to circulate around each piece of chicken.
Place the temperature probe in the thickest part of the chicken without hitting the bone for the most accurate reading.
Allow the dry rub to sit on the chicken for as long as possible. It will build extra flavor.
